Authenticity Check - PROCESS:

All of our authenticators have extensive personal and professional experience. Passionate about luxury vintage, they have bought and worn all the brands we sell themselves for years. We work with long-standing suppliers who provide us with an additional guarantee of authenticity. Our suppliers are continuously trained. This is to ensure that their brand knowledge remains accurate and up to date. Before being uploaded to our webshop, each item is subjected to a rigorous authentication process once. Each element is looked at and checked individually and in combination: Labels, data codes and serial numbers, stamps, hardware, stitching, material, symmetry and overall craftsmanship. Once we have come to the conclusion that a product is authentic, a certificate of authenticity is issued by the Secondhandbags AG is issued. The following information is noted on it:

• Name of the bag model
• Datacode
• Date of inspection
• Signature of the examiner

With this card you are entitled to a verification of the authenticity of the corresponding Bag. If you ever decide to resell your piece, this naturally also applies to the subsequent owner. However, the subsequent owner must provide proof of purchase from the original purchaser.

You want a Bag authenticated by us?

We also offer the option of having bags authenticated by us. The best way to do this is to send us an e-mail to info@secondhandbags.ch with all the details about the Bag. We will take the time to Bag and provide you with the authentication within 5 working days. Bag including the authenticity card to return them to you. You can return the Bag to the following address or bring it to us in person.

The costs for shipping to us are to be borne by you, but the return shipment to you is included in the price. An amount of CHF 80 will be charged for the entire authentication process. For the authentication of a Hermès Bag an amount of CHF 180 will be charged.
